🔧 Troubleshooting
1. Backup/Restore Issues
Q: Backup button doesn’t work
Solution:
- iOS Settings → iScript → Check permissions
- Completely close and restart app
- If problem persists, restart device
Q: Restore loads infinitely
Solution:
- ✅ Update to latest version (1.1.5 or later)
- FilePicker plugin has been improved for instant operation
Q: Can’t find backup file
Solution:
- Open Files app
- Check iCloud Drive or Recent items
- Search for “iScript_backup” in search bar
2. AI Features
Q: AI analysis doesn’t work
Check:
- Is the API key entered correctly?
- Settings → Check API Key
- Is internet connected?
- Is the API key valid?
- Verify at Google AI Studio
Q: TTS (pronunciation) doesn’t work
Solution:
- Unmute device
- Check volume
- Check internet connection
- Restart app
3. Advertising
Q: Too many ads
Current ad display timing:
- Banner ads: Fixed at bottom when app starts
- Interstitial ads: When starting scripts, moving to Analytics
Ads are necessary for free app operation. Ad removal option will be added in future updates.
Q: Can I remove ads?
Answer:
- Currently only free version is available
- Ad removal option planned for future updates
4. Script Upload
Q: Excel file won’t upload
Check:
- Is file format .xlsx or .xls?
- Is format correct (Column 1: Original, Column 2: Translation)?
- Did you check the copyright agreement checkbox?
Q: Sentences appear incorrectly after upload
Solution:
- Recheck Excel file
- Check for empty cells
- Check for merged cells
5. Learning Data
Q: Learning records disappeared
Cause:
- Local data is deleted when app is deleted
- Recovery impossible without backup files
Prevention:
- Create backup files once a week
- Save backup files to iCloud Drive
Q: SRS review doesn’t work properly
Check:
- Is device date/time set to automatic?
- Did you mark sentences as “Learned”?
- Check review schedule in Analytics
